At TvS, we have many opportunities to volunteer. Below is a list of the many ways in which you may help.

SHABBAT MORNING ONEG

  • Set up a table for the the oneg.
  • Put out a challah, wine, grape juice and a tray of small wine cups.
  • Note: There are trays in the kitchen cupboards.  Wine, the Rabbi’s wine cup and the small cups should be in the TvS closet which is in the far back corner of the sanctuary.  Tablecloths and napkins should be there also.
  • After services have drinks, a nosh and something sweet.
  • Clean up.

  • Bring the challahs.
  • Organize set-up and clean-up for Shabbat family services.
  • Early service attendees will set up for the potluck following childrens service.
Those attending the later service will clean up.  The coordinator
    simply oversees the process.

SHAMMUS

  • Set up the sanctuary for services.
  • Note: The closet in the far corner of the sanctuary contains the Ark,
siddurs and other necessities, such as tallises, yarmulkas, tablecloths, wine, etc. Be sure to have someone help with the Ark; it is very heavy.
