School Trip

Each year our Religious School goes on a school trip. In 2008, we visited Ellis Island. In 2009, we visited the Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia. This year, in 2010, we visited the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, and had lunch at the Singapore Chinese restaurant in Chinatown.

The National Liberty Museum celebrates freedom, peace, and those who have taken a stand for it throughout history. From Anne Frank to Martin Luther King to Nelson Mandela, and covering important events and acts of courage, the museum’s interactive exhibits were a fascinating learning experience for all ages. Our tour guide made the lessons relevant to today’s times, as we learned about small acts of heroism that each and every one of us can do in our lives.

Below is a photo of our group on the train (which was half the fun!)
